Darkness
Darkness.
The darkness of a cloudy night
Through which the moon can barely shine
Its borrowed light.
Somewhere
You recline upon a sofa
While I vainly cradle wishes
But find no star.
I want to be a firework
In an effervescent suicide:
To go out with a bang and flash;
See! My last cinder disappears
Amid awestruck children and breathless cheers.
