Obfuscater.net: Silence (obfuscater)
An awkward silence mocks the laughter
Rolling off the harbour wall
As the good ship Quiet Sympathy
Slips slowly out of view.
It's dark, and the cold comes
Out of hibernation;
Bleary-eyed and biting,
Sending shivers down our spines
So she clutches at my jacket
And I rub my naked arms.
My thousand stars dance in my sea
And her stars dance in hers
And mine they shine their light divine
Upon their brave new worlds
Where lies no gaze
To be amazed
By its own amazement.
